International Space Station 2001.4.25


about 6:38 p.m. in 2001.4.25 Model of ISS

We could see the ISS appeared in the northwest sky, reached its' peak in the northeast sky, and disappeared to southeast. In the east sky, the ISS shined brightly with light from the sun. The highest altitude was about 62 degrees and the distance from Toyama was about 450 kilometers.

In this day, the Space Shuttle was docked to the ISS. This shuttle was "Endeavor", and the purposes of this mission are the supply of goods with the multipurpose module "Raphael", installing robotic arm manufactured by Canada and installing antennas in order to do wireless connection with astronauts who are spacewalking.



In this picture, space shuttle "Endeavor" docked to the ISS is shining very brightly .
